  • Richmond, Virginia has some great bands coming out of there all the time, and River City High keeps the flow going strong. The first time I heard this band was seeing them live and I fell in love with them. So much so that I bought this album (I didn't pay 100% for it, but I paid something for it!).

The music isn't as edgy on album as it is live, but the spirit is there. I was into the flow the entire album. The combination of straight up rock and melodic indie pop made for a interesting listen.

The album opens with "Gone Sour" which sets the pace for the entire album. Very seldom does the band stray from it's sound, which is comforting. Most band are trying to stuff as many sounds as they can into one album, but River City High just came to rock on this EP.

I hope a lot of people will give this record and this band a listen. They put on a great show and they are now preparing to record their first full length album. Check them out, it's well worth it.
